This page contains a list of every township in Cook County along with the reassessment mailing dates and timeframe in which appeals may be filed. Property owners are given an opportunity to file an appeal with the Assessor's Office and at the Board of Review, both dates can be found below.
Cook County follows a triennial reassessment cycle, meaning that a property is reassessed once every three years. A property's reassessment year depends on the township in which the property is located. To determine which township a property is located in, click here.
In 2023, the South and Western Suburbs will undergo reassessment and each property owner will be mailed a Reassessment Notice, which contains the property address, its characteristics, and its updated estimated Fair Market Value. Properties in the City of Chicago and the northern suburbs only undergo reassessment if there is a change due to division work, permit applications, or other special circumstances.
2023 Assessment Calendar: South and West Suburbs
As townships are certified by the Board of Review for the 2023 assessment calendar below, they will be noted in the "Pass" column. Only rows with the words "BOR Final" are currently available on the CCAO website and data subscription service.
Once assessment rolls are certified, the information is made available online and to all offices of the Cook County property tax system. By law, the assessment roll must also be published in a print newspaper. The "published" date refers to when the information will be available in the newspaper.
2023 Assessment Calendar: City of Chicago and North Suburbs
In the City of Chicago and North Suburban townships, individual properties will only be reassessed only if there is a change due to division work, permit applications, or other special applications.
