Cook County – Assessor Fritz Kaegi was joined by Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller to celebrate the reopening of the Cook County Assessor’s Bridgeview Branch Office. This office serves the southwest suburbs of Cook County and is located at the Bridgeview Courthouse at 10200 S. 76th Ave., Room #237, Bridgeview, IL 60455. This renovated, ADA-accessible branch office will support taxpayers with filling out their property tax exemption, certificates of error, and appeal applications.  Services are by appointment and can be made at www.cookcountyassessor.com.

“With reassessments taking place in the south and west suburbs this year, it was a priority that the Bridgeview Branch Office reopen to the public,” said Assessor Fritz Kaegi. “This office will provide easier access to services. I hope that homeowners stop by and take advantage of the resources available.”

To kick off the grand reopening, refreshments and snacks were offered to residents and county employees accessing the building. During the event, several homeowners visited the new office to apply for their annual exemptions, including seniors and veterans. This year, both seniors and veterans need to reapply for the Low-Income Senior Citizens Assessment Freeze “Senior Freeze” and Veterans with Disabilities Exemptions.
