2019 Property Exemption Information

Updates regarding property exemption mailers, applications, and due dates.

Those who received the Homeowner and/or Senior Exemptions last year and did not change residency, will automatically continue to receive both exemptions and do not need to re-apply. Prior recipients of the Senior Exemption will receive a postcard in the mail about their exemption status in January.

Please note: A new law this year allows for the automatic renewal of the Senior Exemption for taxpayers who received the exemption last year (2018 Tax Year).

Newly qualified seniors or those who do not currently receive the Senior Exemption can now submit applications which are due by February 13, 2020.

Those who received the Senior Freeze Exemption last year will receive a renewal application in the mail.

Those who received the Persons with Disabilities, Veterans with Disabilities, and/or Longtime Occupant Exemptions, will receive renewal forms in the mail in early February.

New homeowners who purchased their homes before January 1, 2019 will receive application forms in the mail the first week of February.
