2007 North Triennial Reassessment Notification- Important Information for all Filers!!

All 2007 filing forms and instructions for filing are available on the CCAO website. We have revised many of our forms, please be sure to use the current version we have made available on our website. In preparing your appeal for submission, we ask that you secure multi-page appeals with a removable fastener, (binder clip, paper clip, etc…) if you must use staples, please limit the number used, removing them is time consuming, causing delays in processing of your appeal. Please remember that if you file an appeal and are requesting a field inspection of the property, please ask for the inspection at the time the appeal is filed.

Field inspections which are requested with the submission of additional data will not be conducted.

Unique Property Index numbers will also be listed on the CCAO website by township once the township has been mailed. Unique letter properties will be very limited this year to highly unusual circumstances.

There are two important changes to this year’s assessment processing.

A new email alert will be sent out to all subscribers after all appeals within a township have been processed and appeal numbers have been issued. Please check that all of your properties within that township have their appeal numbers and an accurate Property Index Number Listing for each appeal once the email alert has been sent for that township. Corrections to appeal issuance are very time sensitive and should be corrected as quickly as possible. Requests for missing appeal numbers and inaccurate Property Index Listings will be denied if they are requested late into the township’s processing. Corrections can be made by calling the Chief Commercial hearing Officer, Dan Benoit at 312 603-4280.

Re-review appeals will be limited to only appeals which have submitted documentation by the township additional data due date. The re-review request should clearly outline the major reasons why an additional review is being requested. Appeals which submit data for the first time during the re-review time period will not be considered timely filings and will be no changed.

Please monitor our website on a regular basis to verify township mailing dates, appeal due dates and town closing dates.
